The Research and Development Foundation (RDF) and MITI Karachi have signed a Strategic Partnership Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under the Skill Up Project, supported by Welthungerhilfe (WHH), to strengthen technical and vocational education and empower young people with industry-relevant skills for improved employment opportunities.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Niaz Hussain Sial on behalf of RDF and Mr. H. M. Shahzad, Chairman MITI, reaffirming the shared commitment of both organizations to enhancing quality technical and vocational training and creating pathways for youth employment.
Following the signing ceremony, Ms. Isabel Bogorinsky, Head of Program, Welthungerhilfe (WHH), Mr. Akmal Khan, Project Coordinator TVET, and the RDF team visited MITI’s training facilities. During the visit, the delegation observed the institute’s learning environment, interacted with the management, and appreciated MITI’s commitment to delivering high-quality, industry-oriented technical education.
This strategic partnership marks an important step towards strengthening collaboration between development partners and technical training institutions, contributing to enhanced skills development and sustainable livelihood opportunities for young people.
