Under the NCA Emergency Project, the Research and Development Foundation (RDF) continues to operate Heat Stroke Relief Camps across Umerkot and Kunri, providing essential support to vulnerable communities during the ongoing heatwave. The camps are offering Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS), safe drinking water, and awareness sessions on heatstroke prevention and safety measures to help reduce the health risks associated with extreme temperatures.
During visits to the relief camps, Mr. Naveed Ur Rehman Larik, Deputy Commissioner Umerkot, Mr. Rajab Sathio, Assistant Commissioner Umerkot, Mr. Muhammad Khan Bhangwar, Assistant Commissioner Kunri, and Prof. Vice Chancellor Syed Zia Shah, Agriculture University Umerkot, appreciated RDF’s timely response and acknowledged the importance of such initiatives in safeguarding vulnerable populations during extreme weather conditions.
The visiting dignitaries commended the dedication of the project team and emphasized the need for continued collaboration among government institutions and development partners to strengthen community resilience against climate-related emergencies.
