

RDF inaugurated its staff lecture series with the first session delivered by Dr. Fateh Muhammad Marri, ex-Vice Chancellor and member RDF Board of Directors, on May 3, 2025, at TRC in Hyderabad. The lecture, titled “Future of Agricultural Economy in Sindh: Role of Research, Innovation and Institutions”, explored key dimensions of the province’s agricultural landscape. Dr. Marri provided a historical overview of Sindh’s agriculture, highlighted the pivotal role of institutions, and outlined strategies for transitioning the sector from a reactive to a productive framework. He notably emphasized the concept of treating the farmer as a holistic project, advocating for multidimensional support to foster sustainable development.
The session was attended by Project Managers, Monitoring Officers, Project Coordinators across RDF programs. Additionally, four members of RDF’s General Body honored the event with their presence.
